TradeOS MT4 and MT5 VPS Manager
TradeOS is the MT4 and MT5 VPS manager we built at Algo Trading Space for traders who run expert advisors on their own Windows VPSs. Add a VPS once, and TradeOS sets it up, installs MetaTrader from your broker's installer, logs each terminal into its account and puts your EAs and set files on charts, all from the browser. TradeOS is in early access now.

What Is TradeOS?
TradeOS is a browser app that runs the MetaTrader side of algo trading for you: your VPSs, the terminals on them, the broker accounts they log into and the EAs on their charts. Algo Trading Space built and runs this tool, and our team runs its own fleet of VPSs on it every day.
It suits traders who run several EAs across more than one VPS or broker and are tired of Remote Desktop sessions for every change. It is not for manual traders or for one EA on a home PC, and it works with Windows VPSs only.
TradeOS is part of our Trade Manager Suite: it reads your accounts from Account Tracker and your tests from Backtest Manager, so each terminal page shows how its EAs trade and how they tested. TradeOS shows information only; it is not financial advice.

What You Can Do With TradeOS
Everything below is from the TradeOS screens our team uses on its own VPSs. Account numbers and IP addresses are blurred.

Checks Before an EA Goes on a Chart
Pick the EA, its set file, the terminal, the symbol and the timeframe.

Pick the EA, its set file, the terminal, the symbol and the timeframe. Before anything changes, TradeOS checks the platform, the EA and set file hashes, licence placeholders, the symbol at that broker, the account mode and the chart slot, and tells you what will happen: a 30 to 60 second restart, with open positions staying open at the broker.

Proof the EA Is Running, Not a Guess
After the restart, the TradeOS agent reads the terminal itself: the EA file, the chart's symbol, timeframe and inputs, the login and the journal.

After the restart, the TradeOS agent reads the terminal itself: the EA file, the chart's symbol, timeframe and inputs, the login and the journal. Each check shows OK or not, up to level 5, where MT5 confirms algo trading is on. You see what was checked instead of a spinner that says done.

Drift Is Caught and Put Back
If an EA disappears from its chart, the chart changes, or someone edits the terminal by hand, TradeOS marks the setup as drifted from its plan.

If an EA disappears from its chart, the chart changes, or someone edits the terminal by hand, TradeOS marks the setup as drifted from its plan. With Keep applied switched on, it puts the plan back, at most once an hour, and the history keeps what ran before and when it changed.

Take Over the Terminals You Already Run
You don't have to start from an empty VPS.

You don't have to start from an empty VPS. The agent finds the MetaTrader installations already there, with their accounts and charts. Take one over and TradeOS moves it into its own folder and starts watching it; a terminal you don't take over is only listed, never changed or removed.

Tracker and Backtests on Every Terminal
Each terminal page has a Tracker and backtests tab.

Each terminal page has a Tracker and backtests tab. It shows the account's balance, equity and open positions from Account Tracker, and the latest Backtest Manager results for the EAs on its charts, so live trading and its test sit side by side.

WebRequest URLs and Algo Trading Without the Options Dialog
EAs that call a web address need it listed in MetaTrader's Options.

EAs that call a web address need it listed in MetaTrader's Options. TradeOS fills the list through the terminal's own Options dialog and adds it again after every restart. The algo trading switch is on the same page, and both can be set as part of placing an EA.

TradeOS vs Managing VPSs Over Remote Desktop
Most of us started with Remote Desktop: log into the VPS, open each terminal, drag the EA on, load the set file. It works for one VPS. Here is how the same jobs look in TradeOS.

Setting Up a New VPS
By hand you log in, download MetaTrader and set Windows up yourself.

By hand you log in, download MetaTrader and set Windows up yourself. In TradeOS you enter the address and the administrator login, and it resolves, reaches, signs in, checks Windows and installs its agent on its own, in 3 to 5 minutes in our tests.

Installing a Terminal
By hand you run the installer in a Remote Desktop window and search for the broker's server.

By hand you run the installer in a Remote Desktop window and search for the broker's server. TradeOS runs your broker's own installer in the background, checks who signed it, and the broker's servers come with it, so the terminal can log in without opening MetaTrader.

Putting an EA on a Chart
By hand it's drag, drop, load the set file and hope the timeframe is right.

By hand you find out when the results stop. TradeOS flags a terminal that stopped, an agent that went quiet, an account offline in Account Tracker or an EA missing from its chart on the dashboard.

Moving a Terminal to Another VPS

Who TradeOS Is For
We built TradeOS because our own fleet outgrew Remote Desktop. It fits traders with the same problem and is the wrong tool for a few others.

TradeOS FAQ
Answers on setup, security and access before you add your first VPS.
What is TradeOS?
TradeOS is a browser app from Algo Trading Space that manages MT4 and MT5 terminals on your own Windows VPSs. It sets up the VPS, installs terminals from your broker's installer, logs them into your accounts, puts EAs and set files on charts and verifies them, then watches everything for crashes, offline agents and drift.
Do I still need to log in to my VPS with Remote Desktop?
No. After you add the VPS, TradeOS signs in once to install its agent, and from then on the agent does the work and reports back. You can still use Remote Desktop whenever you want; TradeOS may briefly take over a disconnected session only if you allow it.
Which VPS providers work with TradeOS?
Any Windows VPS you have an administrator login for. The walkthrough uses an empty Contabo VPS, and our team's fleet runs on providers such as Hyonix. TradeOS doesn't support Linux or macOS servers, and you keep your VPS with your own provider.
Does TradeOS work with MT4 and MT5?
Yes, both. Most of our fleet runs MT5, and MT5 gets the highest verification level, where TradeOS confirms algo trading is on through the MetaTrader 5 API. A few MT4 steps, such as changing an account's login later, are still being finished during early access.
How are my VPS and broker passwords stored?
They are sealed in TradeOS's encrypted vault when you enter them and never shown again. The VPS password is destroyed after setup unless you choose to keep it. The trading password is removed from the terminal's start file once the login is verified; MetaTrader keeps its own saved login.
Can I use an investor password?
You can log a terminal in with an investor password to watch it, but an investor login cannot trade, so TradeOS blocks placing EAs on that terminal. Use the master password for any terminal where your EAs should trade; TradeOS detects which kind it is after login.
What happens to open trades when TradeOS restarts a terminal?
They stay open at the broker. Placing an EA restarts the terminal for about 30 to 60 seconds, and the plan lists every EA that will pause during the restart, including EAs TradeOS doesn't manage, before you confirm anything. Algo trading stays off unless you switch it on in the plan.
Do I need Account Tracker or Backtest Manager?
No. TradeOS has its own library for EA files, set files and broker installers. With Account Tracker, each terminal shows its tracked account; with Backtest Manager, you can pick the exact EA and set file you tested and see their results beside the live terminal.
Does TradeOS choose EAs or settings for me?
No. TradeOS runs the EAs and set files you choose and shows what it checked. A profitable backtest is not approval to trade it live, and nothing in TradeOS is financial advice. Trading involves risk, including the loss of your capital.
How much does TradeOS cost?
TradeOS is in early access, and we'll publish its price before it opens to everyone. Join the early-access list on this page and we'll email you when your access opens and when pricing is announced. Early-access members hear the price first.

Leave your email and we'll let you know when your TradeOS access opens. Then add your first VPS and put an EA on a chart without opening Remote Desktop. Want the manual way first? Read our guide on how to set up a VPS for trading.

Backtest, demo, then a small live account.
That is the order we test our own robots in, and the Account Tracker records every trade along the way. TradeOS is one step of it; the other tools cover the rest.
