TabTrade Review: What to Know Before You Trade With This New Broker In 2026

A founder who spent years inside BlackBull Markets, zero average spreads checked by an outside data firm, and a broker that only launched this year. That’s roughly the pitch behind TabTrade, and I’ll admit it’s a more interesting setup than most brand-new brokers we come across. This tabtrade review walks through what’s actually behind that pitch, based on what the company has published about itself, not on months of live trading the way we cover our expert advisors.

What TabTrade Is (and Who’s Behind It)

TabTrade positions itself as a global multi-asset CFD broker, covering forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, and crypto from one account. It’s run by Benjamin Boulter, who, according to the company, spent four years at Pepperstone in Melbourne before joining BlackBull Markets in 2018 as an early shareholder. He later became Chief Strategy Officer there before leaving in September 2024.

That’s real brokerage industry experience, at least on paper, and it’s worth something. A founder who’s worked inside a large multi-asset trading broker before starting his own understands the operational side most day-one brokers get wrong. I want to be careful here though: this is TabTrade’s own account of its founder’s background, not something we independently confirmed ourselves. Take it as a strong signal, not a verified fact.

Regulation: The Part That Actually Matters Most

Here’s where I’d slow down if I were considering TabTrade myself. The broker is registered in Saint Lucia, which is an offshore jurisdiction, and has since added a license from the Financial Services Commission in Mauritius, another offshore regulator.

Getting a license from an actual regulator, even an offshore one, is a step up from simple registration. It does mean there’s some oversight involved. But let’s be honest: it’s still not the same tier as the FCA in the UK or ASIC in Australia.

Your money is relatively safe compared to a completely unregulated broker, but “relatively safe” and “Tier 1 protected” are two different things, and I don’t want to blur that line for you. TabTrade has said it’s targeting further regulatory approvals down the line, which is a reasonable next step if it happens, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Platforms and Trading Conditions

For algo traders specifically, this section is where TabTrade gets more interesting. Right now, the broker runs on MetaTrader 5, with cTrader reportedly on the way. You also get WebTrader, a mobile app, and FIX API access, along with VPS hosting through Equinix data centers in London and New York.

MT5 combined with FIX API access tells me this broker built its infrastructure with expert advisors and automated strategies in mind, not just manual day trading. That’s not something every new broker prioritizes early on.

Account Types and Pricing

TabTrade offers three account tiers, and the spread between them is fairly wide once you factor in the minimum deposit.

AccountSpreadsCommissionMinimum Deposit
StandardFrom 1.0 pipsNoneNone
EdgeZero average spreads$3.50 per side$250
VIPCustom pricingCustom$25,000

The Standard account has no minimum deposit at all, which lowers the barrier for anyone who wants to test the platform on a small scale first, or on a demo account before committing real funds. Edge is where the zero average spread claim lives, and it comes with a real trading cost attached in the form of that per-side commission. VIP is really built for higher-volume traders who’d rather negotiate custom pricing than work off a published rate card.

The Zero Average Spreads Claim

This is TabTrade’s headline feature, and to their credit, they didn’t just claim it and move on. The company backs the zero average spreads claim with third-party data from a firm called Datalyst, benchmarked against IC Markets, Pepperstone, and Exness using tick-level data from April 2026.

That’s a genuinely uncommon move for a broker this new. Most day-one brokers make pricing claims without any outside verification attached. I still think it’s worth remembering this is data TabTrade commissioned and published on its own site, not something we pulled and verified ourselves. It’s a good sign, not a guarantee, and I’d want to see that benchmark repeated over a longer stretch before leaning on it too heavily.

Loyalty Program and Extras

Two features worth a quick mention:

  • TradePoints, a loyalty program where trading activity earns points you can redeem for tools, education, or even airline miles.
  • TabTrade+, a paid subscription tier that adds extra perks and priority support on top of your account.

Neither of these changes whether TabTrade is a good fit for your trading, but they’re part of the package if you’re comparing forex brokers on more than just spreads and commission.

What TabTrade Does Well

  • Founder background. Benjamin Boulter’s reported time at Pepperstone and BlackBull Markets gives this brand more operational credibility than most brokers launching for the first time.
  • Independently benchmarked pricing. The Datalyst spread comparison is a real attempt at transparency, not just a marketing line.
  • Built for algo trading. MT5 plus FIX API access makes TabTrade workable for expert advisors and automated strategies, not just manual trades.
  • Low barrier to entry. No minimum deposit on the Standard account means you can test conditions without committing much capital upfront.

Where TabTrade Falls Short

  • No track record yet. TabTrade only launched in 2026. There’s no multi-year history to point to, which matters more than people sometimes admit.
  • Offshore regulation. Saint Lucia plus Mauritius sits below Tier 1 standards. If regulatory protection is a priority for you, this is the main thing to weigh.
  • Higher risk by default. Most retail CFD traders lose money as it is. Pair that with a new, offshore-regulated broker, and it’s fair to treat TabTrade as higher risk and size positions accordingly, at least until it’s been around longer.

Is TabTrade a Reliable Option?

I don’t think TabTrade is proven yet, and I don’t think anyone claiming otherwise this early is being straight with you. What I’d say instead: it’s worth watching. The founder’s background is real experience, and the independently checked spread data is more than most new brokers bother with. That combination doesn’t happen by accident.

Whether it fits your trading probably comes down to how you answer a couple of questions:

  1. Are you comfortable trading with an offshore-regulated broker, or do you need Tier 1 oversight from day one?
  2. Do you want to test zero average spreads early, before the broker has a longer track record, or would you rather wait and watch from the sidelines first?
  3. Does MT5 and FIX API access matter for your setup, since that’s arguably where TabTrade’s structure fits best?

If the answer leans toward comfortable with offshore regulation and curious about early pricing, TabTrade is reasonable to test on a small scale. If you need proven, long-term oversight before funding an account, this probably isn’t the right moment for you.

A Quick Note From the Algo Trading Space Team

We test expert advisors on live accounts and publish the results, drawdown and all, so we’d rather be upfront: this review is based on TabTrade’s own published information, not months of live trading through their platform. If you want to see the kind of hands-on, ongoing results we do track ourselves, our VIP Club gives early access to demo results, trading insights, and priority support before anything goes public. If you’d rather have your broker account and EA setup configured properly from the start, our premium setup service covers that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TabTrade a regulated broker?

TabTrade is registered in Saint Lucia and holds a license from the Financial Services Commission in Mauritius, both offshore jurisdictions. This offers more oversight than registration alone, but it sits below Tier 1 regulators like the FCA or ASIC. The company has stated it’s pursuing further regulatory approvals, though nothing beyond the current offshore license is confirmed as of this review.

Can I run expert advisors on TabTrade?

Yes. TabTrade runs on MetaTrader 5 today, with cTrader planned, and also offers FIX API access alongside VPS hosting through Equinix data centers in London and New York. That combination suggests the platform was built with automated trading and expert advisors in mind, not just manual strategies, though it hasn’t been tested over a long track record yet.

What are TabTrade’s account types and minimum deposits?

TabTrade offers three tiers: Standard (spreads from 1.0 pips, no commission, no minimum deposit), Edge (zero average spreads, $3.50 per side commission, $250 minimum), and VIP ($25,000 minimum with custom pricing). The Standard account’s lack of a minimum deposit makes it the easiest entry point for traders who want to test conditions before committing more capital.

How does TabTrade support its zero average spreads claim?

TabTrade backs the claim with third-party benchmark data from Datalyst, comparing its pricing against IC Markets, Pepperstone, and Exness using tick-level data from April 2026. This kind of independent verification is uncommon among newly launched brokers, though the data was commissioned by TabTrade itself, so it’s worth treating as a positive signal rather than fully independent proof.

Is TabTrade safe to trade with?

TabTrade’s Mauritius license offers more protection than an unregulated broker, but it’s not equivalent to Tier 1 oversight from regulators like the FCA or ASIC. Combined with the fact that TabTrade only launched in 2026 with no long-term track record, it’s reasonable to treat it as higher risk and size any positions accordingly, regardless of how strong the founder’s background looks on paper.
